Bharatheeyam ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles your data.

1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

Bharatheeyam is primarily an offline Vedic Astrology application. The vast majority of data (including birth charts, personal notes, and settings) is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

Google Calendar Integration

If you choose to use the Appointment Management feature, you may authorize the app to connect to your Google Calendar.

• What we access: We request access to view and add events to your Google Calendar.
• How we use it: This access is used strictly to synchronize astrology appointments created within the app to your Google Calendar, and to read calendar events to accurately display visit counts for clients.
• Storage: We do not store your Google Calendar data on any external servers. The synchronization happens directly between your device and Google's APIs. We only store the necessary OAuth tokens locally on your device to maintain the connection.

2. Third-Party Access

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer any of your personal data or Google Calendar data to outside parties.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

All data related to the app is stored locally on your device. You can delete all your data, including saved birth charts and Google OAuth tokens, simply by:

1. Disconnecting your Google Account from within the app settings.
2. Uninstalling the app from your device, or clearing the app data.

4. Google API Services User Data Policy

The Bharatheeyam app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Permissions

The app may request the following permissions:

• Storage: To save and load birth chart data locally.
• Internet: Required for Google Calendar sync and ephemeris data updates.
• Google Sign-In: Only when you opt in to use the appointment management feature.

6. Children's Privacy

Our app does not target or knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
